Tibus have successfully developed a new educational website for the DOE, encouraging people to Rethink Waste.

Rethink Waste NI, a campaign from the DOE, has been set up to educate and encourage the people of Northern Ireland about the importance of waste management. It aims to encourage and support individuals, groups and industry on how they can 'reduce', 'reuse' and 'recycle' their waste. Morrow Communications as marketing consultants for this project approached Tibus to deliver an educational website and content management system.

The website offers advice and online tools to help people and organisations get involved in or improve their waste management actions. To help facilitate this effectively the website targets key audience groups and tailors the content accordingly. 'At Home', 'At Work', 'In Education' and 'Your Community' sections each offer relevant content and resources for each of these key audience groups, making their user experience much more focussed and in context.

Built using the HandsOn Content Management System the website takes advantage of a range of be-spoke functions built for Rethink Waste NI all easily administered. These functions include an interactive quiz for school puplis, a link to a savings calculator, and an e-newsletter system. Content from www.recyclenow.com is also integrated onto the website to display kerbside locations and recycling bank locations based on vistors entering their postcode.
